we’ll be uploading interesting weddings that i’ve got the chance to cover soon…i am one blessed individual to witness and cover a once in a lifetime event.
on top of my favorite shots are these photos taken on the 50th wedding anniversary of my friend’s parents…made me believe in the so-called forever π
Not their original engagement session plan…they have arranged it at Intramuros, Manila but then, as they drive to the location, their car broke down and so my friend, Misty who also happened to be their coordinator (Passion Events) received a call from them to cancel the shoot and to not have the engagement shoot since they don’t have an available date anymore. Orven and Princess are based in Oman and they just came here for the wedding…so Misty and I understand the stress that they are going through. Β And so we told them that we will just go where they are since the time they have reserved in Intramuros have already passed, we will just shoot on any available location…It was so easy to say ok, let’s not have the shoot anymore, since this will not affect the rate that they have paid me but it’s something that my core being can’t take and I guess being in this industry for quite sometime, experiencing shit is not really new…but then, you just keep going with a smile and not let those stress reflect on the photos π
As a photographer, as I look back to this day, I am so glad that Misty and I insisted the shoot because I am one blessed photographer to capture two nice people in my camera.
the plane fare to batanes is quite pricey and the assigned driver (manong joey) informed me that it is part of the strategy in controlling the number of tourists…and i think it’s a good strategy, for one can really enjoy the view for it is not really crowded and one can have enough time to paint a good memory.
the food servings were quite overwhelming at first sight. the lobster that may cost a thousand here in manila only cost a hundred or two. however, the food can be so bland and the locals need to learn on how to play with the spices. Β the only food that i enjoy was the food served at fundacion pacita. and again, manong joey informed me that the abad’s hire a chef in manila to train the chef at fundacion. (ps. just visited toby’s estate and the brownies that they’re selling is similar to the brownies being served at fundacion pacita).
according to manong joey, batanes got zero road accident and even before text language became popular they already have “blow ur horn” as a popular road sign.
got an extra treat from manong joey (who is such a good tour guide too), on the second time that i visited fundacion for breakfast, he showed me the “great road of batanes” (which is not yet included in the usual itinerary) wherein you can literally overlook the entire basco, batanes island.
most of the shots were taken while inside the moving car, for two days were not enough to explore batanes that can’t say stop and stare for every beauty that one can see while in a moving car.
the three days of not having internet access were all worth it. one day, i’ll go back and create new memories again.
the mandatory travel shotsometimes i wish that cables and wires positioning will be part of “urban planning” or whatever planning one will wish to call it…basta, itago ang mga wires!!!
The BodyShop’s new product that should be part of every woman’s must-have make-up basics…and I agree there is no need to use camera 360 to soften your skin when taking your selfie pictures.
one of the reasons why i wanted to be a photographer in a certain event venue…i knew most of her concerts were held there and she’s one of those people on my list that i wish and pray that one day i will be able to capture in my camera π
and so i had a break with my corporate life and half of the dream happened (simply because the other half requires studio lights etc) … π
as she described it in one of her spiels (yes, i’m so close of memorizing her lines…fan mode), Playlist is like having a conversation with a friend…with a good background music.
…and for me it’s like listening to a playlist describing my 2013 π
enough of words…here are some of the photos that i took…but then again, these photos were not enough… you have to be in her concert for the “experience” (fan mode. i know.)
